Make Oregon Affordable
Families deserve relief from rising costs.
Michael Supports:
- Lower taxes on working families
- Responsible, disciplined state spending
- Support Oregon's small businesses
- Bring down everyday costs — groceries, fuel, and utilities
- Oregon tax dollars should only be spent on the citizens of Oregon
Strong Schools
Every child deserves an excellent education.
Michael Supports:
- Expand school choice and educational options for families
- Prepare students for successful careers by reinstating graduation requirements
- Protect women's sports and female spaces
- More hours in the classroom and more days in school
As your legislator, I will make it my priority to introduce legislative concepts to bring back education excellence to Oregon. In 1972 we were second in the country in academic excellence. Today we are competing for dead last.
I will work for the reinstatement of standards, support local school boards and parents, and refocus learning back to the basics: reading, writing, and math. I will make sure that history and civics are being taught in our schools once again.
I will work to restore Oregon public schools to the learning institutions they can be. It is time to do this for our students.
Safe Communities
Everyone deserves to feel safe at home and in their neighborhood.
Michael Supports:
- Back the men and women of law enforcement
- This is not an affordable housing crisis — but a drug and mental health crisis
- Reduce homelessness with real solutions, not talking points
- Hold repeat offenders accountable
Protect Agriculture
Our farms and orchards are the backbone of the district.
Michael Supports:
- Protect farmland from government overreach and overregulation
- Support local farmers and family-owned operations
- Cut unnecessary red tape strangling rural farms
